Your Attorney

Meet Rob Henson

When you hire Henson Law Firm, Rob Henson is the attorney responsible for your case. For nearly two decades, Rob has represented people facing criminal charges in Oklahoma and has handled more than 30 jury and non-jury trials. He believes effective representation requires careful preparation, straightforward advice, and a willingness to take a case to trial when that is the right course.

Rob deliberately limits the number of cases he accepts so that he can give each matter meaningful time and personal attention. He works directly with his clients, reviews the evidence behind the accusations they face, and stays accessible as the case develops. The goal is not simply to move a case through the system, but to understand the evidence, identify the issues that matter, and prepare the defense for the decisions ahead.

No criminal defense attorney can promise a particular result. Rob can promise that your case will receive his attention, preparation, and best efforts.

A Deliberate Defense

Every case is different. The approach should be deliberate.

A criminal case should not be handled by simply reacting to what the prosecution does next. Rob works to understand the circumstances, examine the evidence, identify the issues that may affect the case, and prepare for the decisions that follow.

Listen and Understand

Start with the facts and the client.

Understanding the accusation is only the beginning. Rob takes the time to learn what happened, what concerns the client has, what information is available, and what matters most before deciding how the defense should proceed.

Prepare With Care

Look beyond the accusation to the evidence behind it.

Preparation includes reviewing discovery, police reports, witness statements, body camera or other video, search warrant materials, electronic evidence, and other records relevant to the case. It can also require legal research, further investigation, or when appropriate, consultation with an expert. That preparation is used to identify weaknesses in the State’s case, determine whether evidence can be challenged or suppressed, and evaluate whether dismissal may be possible. If dismissal is not available, the focus shifts to negotiating the best available resolution or preparing the case for trial.

Act Strategically

Make informed decisions as the case develops.

A sound defense strategy is not static. New evidence, legal issues, negotiations, and developments in court can change the choices available. Rob explains those choices, the potential benefits and risks of each, and his recommendation so the client can make informed decisions about how to proceed. The goal is to remain prepared, deliberate, and responsive throughout the case.

Start With What You Know

You do not need to have every answer before you call.

If you have been arrested, charged with a crime, or learned that you are under investigation, start with the information you have: the charge or allegation, the county or court, the next court date, and whether you are calling on behalf of a loved one who is currently in jail. Those details can help begin the conversation. However, if you do not have any of that information yet, that is fine. You do not need to know exactly what has happened or have all of the details before you call.

Call Henson Law Firm or contact the firm online to discuss your situation and what may need to happen next.
